Overview
The trek up Marangu Route is the shortest and the easiest. All the sleeping huts are solar-powered, and the camping beds are extremely comfortable and warm. The route from Marangu to Kilimanjaro’s summit is also called the ‘tourist’ or the ‘Coca-Cola’ route by many. There will be over 120 beds available at Horombo Hut and over 60 beds at Kibo and Mandara Huts for all the trekkers. All the bed bunks will have sponge mattresses to keep you comfortable, and the huts will be shared among all.
