Tours of Tarangire and Ngorongoro Parks, and Lake Natron - PRICE $1,890

Overview

This is a unique program, especially for those of you who are adventure seekers. This journey includes tours through the safari. We’ll take you to Tarangire and Ngorongoro, two of the most famous parks here in Tanzania. You will get to enjoy the diverse national parks in only a short time. The flora and fauna of both parks are completely different from one another, so you’ll get to experience the diversity of African nature. In this three-day tour, we’ll introduce you to the great savannahs, the wild river of Tarangire, and the wildlife of Ngorongoro. Then you’ll get to see the Great Rift Valley and drive to Lake Natron. In Lake Natron, you’ll get to visit the Mountain of God, more commonly known as ‘Ol Doinyo Lengai. It is an active volcano in Northern Tanzania, and its elevation is at 9,442 ft/ 2,878 m.

ARRIVAL

After you arrive at the Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO), you’ll be greeted and escorted by one of our representatives to your respective hotels in Arusha.

Itinerary

DAY 2: TARANGIRE BIRDS DESTINATION

We’ll begin the tour early morning, right after you have your breakfast. At 7:45 AM, your tour guide will arrive at the hotel to escort you to the destination. The hotel receptionist will inform you that the guide is waiting for you. You’ll have enough time to pack your things and meet the guide. Our driver will take you to Tarangire National Park, and by 10:30 AM, we’ll begin your safari tour!

Tarangire National Park has more bird species, including white pelican, lovebirds, and some of the largest flying birds you’ll ever see. You’ll get see many other wild animals such as Zebras, giraffes, lions, leopards, buffalos, and cheetahs. Above all, Tarangire National Park is known for elephants that are seen near the Tarangire River, as they like to stay close to the drinking sources.

Remember, this trip is going to going to be about nature and wildlife. Our guides don’t guarantee everyone’s safety in the presence of wild animals; however, we’ll do everything we can to look out for all our tourists.

DAY 3: LAKE NATRON

At lunchtime, you will be provided a meal, after which the safari will continue. In the evening you will be transferred to the hotel.

You’ll be served hot and delicious meals during lunch break during the tour, after which the safari will continue. You’ll be escorted to your hotels in the evening.

The next morning, you’ll get to experience the Ngare Sero Waterfall. The waterfall is located in Lake Natron of a rift valley. You can also expect light trekking near the lake, where we’d be crossing the river. We’d recommend you bring your hiking boots. After the Ngare Sero Waterfall, we’d head over to Lake Natron, where you’ll have sufficient time to photograph the magnificent active volcano called Ol Doinyo Lengai. We’ll walk around the shore before we make a stop for the lunch break. After the lunch break, we’ll finish the safari, from where you’ll head to a hotel located at Ngorongoro crater.

Note: We can also organize a trekking tour to Ol Doinyo Lengai volcano. It will cost additional fees. Remember that trekking is suitable for fit individuals as it requires quite a bit of physical training.

The tour will continue once you’ve had your lunch break. You’ll be driven back to your respective hotels in the evening.

DAY 4: INTACT CALDERA/NGORONGORO CRATER (THE BLACKHOLE)

On day four, you’ll leave your hotel around 6:30 AM. To get to see as many animals as possible, we’ll recommend you leave your hotel as early as you can. Your breakfast will be packed in lunchboxes for this reason. We’ll head over to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. After one hour tour, we’ll finally get to the crater.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area is one of the most famous world heritage sites. You’ll find a great number of animal species in this park. From wildebeests, elephants, hippopotamus, buffalos, and zebras to predatory animals like hyenas, cheetahs, lions, and leopards, you’ll get to see them all. If you’re lucky enough, you may also get to see endangered black rhinoceros and African hunting dogs.

You’ll have your lunch break near the lakeside, where you’ll be served lunch in lunchboxes. After having your meal and getting some rest, we’ll continue our tour for a few more hours. After that, we’ll head over to Serengeti National Park.

On this day’s tour, you’ll also have the chance to visit a memorial dedicated to two researchers from Germany, Michael Grzimek and Bernhard Grzimek. Because of them, we still have Northern Tanzania National Parks in their natural state.

DAY 5: KWA-HERI/BON VOYAGE/DEPARTURE

You’ll be escorted to your hotel, where you can get some rest and leave for the airport.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  1. You’re prohibited from leaving the vehicle during the expedition, especially in the parks around wild animals. Individuals who violate this rule shall be subjected to heavy penalties, such as license revocation.
  2. Driving off the road during safari is also a violation of the rule. Violating this rule can cause irreparable damage to the natural ecosystem of parks.  
  3. While you’re allowed to smoke during the expedition, you shouldn’t dispose of the cigarette without extinguishing it.  
  4. It is requested to avoid putting your feet on the car seats during the expedition, nor sit on the back. This type of behavior will make the car inoperative.
  5. Make sure to check out at or before 11:00 AM. In case of late check-out, you’ll have to pay an additional cost to extend your stay at the hotel.
  6. The hotel stay cost only includes breakfast.
