Overview

This is a six-day action-packed program for those who want to explore the beautiful Lake Manyara, the majestic Serengeti Valley, and Ngorongoro Crater. You’ll get a chance to see the pink flamingos’ flamboyance, vast landscapes, scenic savannahs, and the wildlife animals up close. You will see the top five animals, i.e., elephant, lion, rhino, buffalo, and leopard, among other species like the wildebeests’ migration.

ARRIVAL IN TANZANIA

You’ll be greeted and escorted to your hotel in Arusha soon after you arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO).

Itinerary

DAY 2: RIFT VALLEY LAKE

  • Location: Monduli District, Arusha Region, Tanzania

The next day, we’ll wake up early, have breakfast, and travel to Lake Manyara. Lake Manyara is situated in the Northern end of the Arusha region and is famous for its favorable environments, such as the dense forest and underground streams. It is also known for thousands of elephants, lions, and flamingo flocks that migrate there in search of wetland. You’ll also get to spot a diverse population of birds.

We’ll be at Maji Moto at lunchtime. Our staff will provide each guest with a lunchbox so they can enjoy their meal while viewing the beautiful hot springs. After this, we’ll continue our tour until we transfer to a hotel at the base of the Ngorongoro volcanic crater, where we’ll stay overnight.

DAY 3:  INTACT CALDERA/NGORONGORO CRATER (THE BLACKHOLE)

It’s best to leave for the park to see as many animals as possible. We’ll set off around 6:30 AM and reach Ngorongoro Conservation Area in one hour. You’ll get to spot many animals that are only busy early morning. Your meals will be packed and consumed during the tour.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area is one of the most famous parks in Tanzania. It is home to many different species. All the guests will see animals like wildebeests, zebras, hippos, caracals, and buffaloes during this expedition. If you’re lucky, you’ll also see rhinoceros and other endangered animals.

We’ll stop over for lunch break near a lakeside where you’ll enjoy a meal. The expedition will resume after lunch. You’ll then be escorted to Serengeti National Park.

You’ll also get the chance to visit the memorials of two of the most renowned West German researchers, Bernhard Grzimek and Michael Grzimek. It is only because of them that all these parks in Tanzania are still preserved in their natural state.   

You’ll head over to your hotel located in the central region of Serengeti National Park. You’ll stay here for the night and commence the tour the next day.

DAY 4: MAJESTIC SERENGETI

Soon after breakfast, we’ll head over to the southern and eastern part of the majestic Serengeti. You’ll get to explore the beautiful landscape, i.e., the open spaces and savannahs. If you’re lucky, you’ll also spot cheetahs and antelopes.

You’ll be escorted to a hotel where you’ll have dinner and rest.

DAY 5: MAJESTIC SERENGETI

On day five, we’ll have breakfast and head over to the central part of the Serengeti, where you’ll find a diverse number of species. Our driver will spot the animals you’re most interested in. The guests will be transferred to the Serengeti Visitor Center during the lunch break. You’ll be offered lunchboxes as your guide give you more information about the diverse animal species and tell you about the National Park’s history. Near Serengeti Visitor Center, you’ll also get to spot elephants, as the location is pretty close to the river, where they’re usually spotted.  

Serengeti Valley is known for the yearly animal migration of African wildlife. You’ll find a vast number of animals and will be able to sport them up close. You’ll find jackals, cheetahs, antelopes, elephants, leopards, ostriches, buffaloes, and more, among other animals. Just make sure to keep an eye out for them and enjoy the spectacular landscape.  

You’ll be transferred to a hotel located in the Northern end of the Serengeti, where you’ll retire for the evening.

DAY 6: MAJESTIC SERENGETI

On day six, we’ll have breakfast and travel to the Northern region of Serengeti. The drive up there will be very interesting. You’ll get to experience the beautiful landscape and fauna and see animals that are mostly in the remote locations of the park.

You’ll have your lunch break in the after before heading back to Arusha, where all the guests will stay overnight.

DAY 7: DEPARTURE

Please note: hotel check-outs will be at 11:00 AM. You will be escorted to the airport by our drivers. If your flight is later than 11:00 AM, you may extend your stay for a late check-out. It will cost you an extra fee.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  1. Getting off the vehicle during the expedition is strictly prohibited. The violation of this rule can lead to license revocation and heavy fines for the company.
  2. Getting off-road while driving is prohibited. It can cause permanent damage to the ecosystem of the parks and other areas.
  3. You’re allowed to smoke on the expedition. Make sure that you extinguish the cigarette butt before disposing of it. Being careless can lead to fires in the savannahs, causing damage.
  4. Hotel check-outs will be at 11:00 AM. You will be escorted to the airport by our drivers. If your flight is later than the aforementioned time, you may extend your stay for a late check-out. It will cost you an extra fee.
  5. The hotel costs only cover breakfast and no other meals. Hotel check-ins start at 2:00 PM.
  6. Avoid putting your feet along with your shoes on the vehicle’s seat or sitting on the back of the car seats. It can make the car unstable.
  7. The hotel costs only cover breakfast meals.
