Overview

This is a six-day fun-packed program where guests visit and explore the spectacular Tarangire National Park, the Majestic Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater. You will experience the beautiful scenic landscapes and see the wildlife of Tarangire up close. Keep your eyes peeled for animals such as resting lions, leopards chasing antelopes, and feline species like caracals. The itinerary is designed such that you’ll also get to see some of the rarest African fauna like crocodiles, pythons, gemsbok, servals, and black rhinos.

ARRIVAL IN TANZANIA

Our representative will meet you at Kilimanjaro Airport and escort you to the Arusha hotel.

Arusha hotel check-in time is 2:00 PM, and the hotel cost will cover breakfast meals.

Itinerary

DAY 2: TARANGIRE BIRDS DESTINATION

After having breakfast at 7:45 AM, your hotel receptionist will inform you when the safari guide arrives at your hotel. After meeting your guide, you’ll be escorted to Tarangire Park by your driver. The park is located a few hours’ distance from the hotel. You’ll arrive at Tarangire at 10:30 AM and commence the first expedition.

Tarangire National Park is home to more than 500 bird species and other wildlife animals. You’ll get to see animals like giraffes, buffalos, zebras, and cheetahs. You should also keep an eye out for a large elephant population near the drinking source, i.e., Tarangire River.

Please know that given the wildlife’s nature, we can’t guarantee your safety in the presence of wild animals. However, our guides will do their best to protect you and help you spot your favorite animals.

You’ll be served lunch during lunch break and which the expedition will continue. We’ll head back to your hotel in the evening, where you can rest for the next day.

DAY 3: INTACT CALDERA/NGORONGORO CRATER (THE BLACKHOLE)

On the third day, we’ll leave a little early to see animals only seen in the early morning. Our staff will pack your breakfast for this reason that you’ll get later on. Ngorongoro District is only an hour’s drive away from the hotel.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area is one of Tanzania’s most spectacular and renowned parks. It is home to more diverse species that you’ll find per sq km. You’ll see elephants, wildebeests, hippos, and other feline animals like servals in this park. If you’re lucky enough, you may also get a view of some of the endangered animals like rhinoceros.

We’ll be at the lakeside during lunch break. Our guide will provide all guests with lunchboxes so you can enjoy your meal and relax for a bit. After that, we’ll continue our expedition before we head over to Serengeti Park.

On our way to Serengeti, we’ll also stop by the memorial of two of the most famous and respected German researchers, Michael and Bernhard Grzimek. Because of them, the national parks of Tanzania are preserved in their natural state today.

From there, we’ll escort our guests to their hotel located in the central region of Serengeti National Park, where they can rest for the day.

DAY 4: MAJESTIC SERENGETI

On day four, after breakfast, we’ll head out to the southern and eastern parts of Serengeti Park. These regions of the park offer spectacular views of open spaces and savannahs. You may also get to see leopards chasing antelopes.

You’ll be ushered to your hotel in the evening. You can enjoy your dinner and rest for the day.

DAY 5: MAJESTIC SERENGETI

The next day, you’ll have your breakfast and start the day by setting off to central Serengeti. The guide will help you spot the animals that you’re interested in seeing up close. For lunch break, all guests will go to Serengeti Visitor Center, where you’ll get your lunch boxes, and your guide will give you information about the Park’s history and the animal population found there. You may also spot some hyraxes in this region. Hyraxes are known to share an ancestor with elephants.

At Serengeti Valley, you’ll find thousands of animal species, including buffalos, jackals, antelopes, lions, cheetahs, and leopards. You’ll also see hyenas, giraffes, and ostriches. Keep an eye out for your favorite animals.

You’ll be driven to your hotel in the evening. It is located in the north of Serengeti.

DAY 6: MAJESTIC SERENGETI

On day eight, you’ll wake up early and have breakfast. We’ll start the day with a drive down to the Northern side of Serengeti Park. You’ll get to see the diverse fauna and flora of the park. You’ll see animals that are only seen in the far-off distant areas of Serengeti.

DAYS 7: KWA-HERI/BON VOYAGE/DEPARTURE 9

You’ll be transferred to your hotel where you can rest and prepare to leave for the airport.

All guests at Hotel Arusha should be checking out by 11:00 AM. If you want to prolong your stay, you’ll have to pay additional charges.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • All guests are prohibited from leaving the vehicle during the expedition unless advised otherwise. Violation of this rule can result in heavy penalties and license revocation.
  • Driving off-road is prohibited for guests. It can result in irreparable damage to the natural ecosystem of the parks.
  • You’re allowed to smoke during the expedition. Ensure to extinguish the cigarette butts before disposing of them, as unextinguished cigarettes can cause a fire.
  • Guests are requested to avoid keeping their feet on the safari’s car seat or sitting on the back of the car. This behavior will make the vehicle unstable.
  • All guests at Hotel Arusha should be checking out by 11:00 AM. If you want to prolong your stay, you’ll have to pay additional charges.
  • The hotel cost will only cover breakfast meals.
