ARRIVAL DAY

Arrive in Tanzania where member of our staff will be ready at the airport to take you on your journey

ACCLIMATIZATION DAY

The Kikelewa hot spring is located in the Kilimanjaro region. There are many reasons why people visit this place, such as its clear water and its ability to provide a great swimming experience. This natural hot spring can be found in various areas in the Kilimanjaro region. Aside from being clear, the water in this area is also deep enough to allow swimmers to spot the bottom.

Itinerary

Trekking Day 1

This journey consists of a trek from the exotic Machame Camp

  • The elevation is estimated to be from 5,000 feet to 10,000 feet
  • The total distance covered will be 11 km/7 miles
  • The duration of the hike will be between 4-6 hours
  • This trek will be in the Rain Forest

Drive to Machame Gate from Moshi and start your trek on the forest trails that lead to the Machame Camp. After crossing the village, we follow a winding trail that takes us to the top ridge. Take a break from the trail to hike through the thick rainforest. After reaching the Machame Gate, which is located on the mountain’s lower slopes, follow a winding trail until you reach the camp.

Trekking Day 2

This journey consists of a trek from the Machame Camp to the Shira 2 Camp

  • The elevation is estimated to be from 9,000 ft to 13,000 ft
  • The total distance covered will be 5 km/3 miles
  • The duration of the hike will be between 4-6 hours
  • This trek will be in the Rain Forest

As you climb into the heath, alien-looking groundsels appear over the rocky slopes. On the Shira Plateau, follow a path through open moorlands and across a river gorge. Trekking Day 3

This journey consists of a trek from the Shira 2 Camp to the Lava Tower

  • The total distance covered will be 7 km/4 miles
  • The duration of the hike will be between 4-5 hours
  • The habitat of this trek will be in theAlpine Desert

From the base of the Barranco Wall, ascend a ridge and head toward the Lava Tower. From there, we descend to the camp through the Amuse Forest. From the camp, take in the spectacular view of the Barranco Valley from the base of the wall. Follow the trail to the lava tower and descend to the camp.

Trekking Day 4

This journey consists of a trek from the Barranco Camp to the Karanga Camp

  • The total distance covered will be 5 km/3 miles
  • The duration of the hike will be between 4-5 hours
  • The habitat of this trek will be in the Alpine Desert

The Barranco Wall is a challenging climb that provides spectacular views from the top. After crossing various ridges and valleys, we descend to Karanga Valley with a steep climb. Follow the Barranco Wall’s ridges and valleys for a spectacular view of the valley. After reaching the camp, take a steep climb to the top of the wall, which leads to an accumulation day.

 Trekking Day 5

This journey consists of a trek from the Karanga Camp to the Barafu Camp

  • The elevation is estimated to be from 13,000ft to 16,000 ft
  • The total distance covered will be 4 km/2 miles
  • The duration of the hike will be between3-5 hours
  • The habitat of this trek will be in the Alpine Desert

As we prepare to catch up with the summit, the landscape begins to resemble that of the Moon. We leave Karanga and head toward the junction with the Mweka Trail. The trek ends at the Barafu Hut, which provides spectacular views of the summit.

Trekking Day 6

This journey consists of a trek from the Barafu Camp to the Uhuru Peak Summit

  • The elevation is estimated to be from 13,000 ft to 17,000 ft
  • The total distance covered will be5 km/3 miles
  • The duration of the hike will be between 7-8 hours
  • The habitat of this trek will be Arctic

Get ready to start your challenging summit bid. Wake up early to watch the sunrise over Mawenzi. Then, take some time to celebrate your achievements and capture some memorable photos. After lunch, we continue our trek down the mountain to the camp site. The trek is very hard on the knees and we have to use trekking poles.

DAY 7 / DEPARTURE DAY

This journey consists of a trek from the Mweka Camp to the Mweka Gate

  • The elevation is estimated to be from 10,065 ft to 5,380 ft
  • The total distance covered will be10 km/6 miles
  • The duration of the hike will be between3-4 hours
  • The habitat of this trek will be in theRain Forest

After reaching Mweka Gate, take a shower and a vehicle will be on standby to transfer you to a rest area.

Safari Day 1

TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK – KARATU

Your journey to Tarangire Park will take about 2 hours. It is home to the biggest elephant herds in the northern part of Tanzania. There are numerous animals that can be seen in the area, such as elephants, hartebeests, warthogs, and zebras. It also has lions, leopards, and cheetahs that can be followed by a wide range of predators.

Safari Day 2

KARATU – NGORONGORO CRATER – ARUSHA

After breakfast, drive for 25 minutes to the crater, and then start descending to the crater’s entrance. It measures approximately 20 kilometers wide. On your game drive, you can see different types of animals such as lions, tigers, and rhinos. There are also bird species living in the area. After a lunch break, head back to Arusha and enjoy a game viewing trip.

Last Day

DEPART TANZANIA

This is the day that will allow you to decide whether or not to travel to Zanzibar or return home.
